Características entre el presente simple y el presente perfecto:
Pasado Simple: Simple Past tense is used to describe actions that happened at an earlier time and have already completed, for example:
She Cleaned her house. She cleaned his house.
I broke the window. I broke the window.
Presente Perfecto: The present perfect is used in English to narrate events that have already occurred in an unspecified time in the past, and may or may not be continuing into the present. The verb in present perfect or present perfect in English, is constructed with the auxiliary verb have or has, if in the third person, he, she, it, plus the participle of the verb: subject + have / has + past participle verb .
example: I have eaten an apple → I have eaten an apple.
He bought me a car. → I've bought me a car.
How many times have you seen that movie? → How many times have you seen That film?
What was the best movie you've seen? → Which Has Been You have the best film ever seen?
Diferencias entre el pasado simple y el presente perfecto:
a) Past Simple
- Action to be developed and finalized in the past, without any information about what has been its impact on the present.
When I was young I played tennis (we do not give any info on if I'm currently playing tennis or not)
- Action to be developed and completed in a period of time and complete.
This morning I had a very tense meeting with my boss (and is in the afternoon, the morning has ended)
Yesterday i went to the cinema with my friends.
b) Present Perfect
- Action to be initiated in the past and still continues to grow.
I have Worked In This bank for ten years (I still continue in the bank)
- Action that just ended.
I have missed my train (I just lost)
- Action has been developed over a period of time is not over yet.
This morning I've Had a very tense meeting with my boss (still am)
Today I have visited my parents (the day has not yet completed)
- Action developed in the past but whose impact is still evident in the present tense.
My brother has broken historical glasses (glasses have been broken recently and still broken)
Compare with the following prayer:
My brother broke historical glasses (do not know if the glasses are already fixed or not).
CONVERSATION:
Lupita: Hi Fernando, have you ever been in in Culiacán?
Fernando: yes. I have.
Lupita: And what did you do there?
Fernando: I went to the cinema, the Beach and party.
Lupita: ¡ oh yeah¡ have you ever seen the movie Rec 2?
Fernando: yes, i have and have you ever listened the music of lady gaga?
Lupita: No, i have never listened the lady gaga.
Lupita: Have you ever traed hamburguers?
Fernando: Yes, i have, their are good.
Lupita: Ok, Bye, I g oto the school.
Fernando: Ok, Bye.
